January

In January I - saw amazing things at the Natural History Museum with Mimi, was featured in Oh Marie's Ugly Duckling article, said goodbye to my cat-friend Gerrit, added new stuff to the shop, finished some commissions, watched a lot of stupid tv with Jaap, made lots of huge animal tshirts into dresses, went on adventures in the woods and on the beach with my family, missed Brian like crazy, discovered the wonderful medium that is watercolors, had a lot of fun bff-days, brought my Lost in a Forest sofa to the Petersburch Gallery in Edam where it's currently displayed, did a lot of boring around the house things like painting chairs and putting together ikea stuff, started packing my stuff, had fun with Annika en Mimi in Artis Zoo, did way too little blog and work stuff.

Movies - Napoleon Dynamite: really doesn't do it for me ♥ ♥, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug: fine! ♥ ♥ ♥ , Gake no ue no Ponyo (崖の上のポニョ): finally got to watch this with Jaap! Perfect! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥, Clueless: perfect movie for a night with the bff and loads of chinese food ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥, Mallrats: I was in the mood for something stupid but it wasn't as bad as I remembered it to be ♥ ♥ ♥, Wayne's World: haha loved it ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥.
Books - Dansen op de Vulkaan by Floor De Goede: ugh such a heartbreaking comic ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥, Het Onzienbare en Andere Verhalen by Erik Kriek: so good. SO SO SO SO GOOD ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥, Very Casual by Michael DeForge: weird as hell but in a good way ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥.
Music - Yeasayer, Missy Elliott, David Bowie, Beck, Alamo Racetrack. I've been reaaally into this new song from Beck but nothing new apart from that.
TV Shows - Gilmore Girls! And I may have binge watched all the New Girl episodes I could find.

November

In November I - finished long overdue illustration projects, worked hard on a lot of commissions, turned 26 and had a perfect birthday, helped move my bf to his beautiful appartment in Haarlem (and pretty much never left?), made friends with Gerrit the Cat, was missed by Brian the Cat, watched lots of Gilmore Girls, had a pretty dull but nice month :)

Movies - The Shawshank Redemption, The Muppets, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Flubber, Oliver & Company aka movies I've seen too many times before and were just background noise while working on commissions haha. Oh my life
Books - Dragon Ball vol. One by Akira Toriyama was perfect and beautiful and hilarious and I probably would have reaallyyy loved Wet Moon vol. One; Feeble Wanderings by Ross Campbell when I was gothy 15 y/o but is still pretty nice.
Music - Nothing new. Have been back on my Beck craze so that's pretty much all I've been listening to.
TV Shows - GILMORE GIRLS! My favorite show of all time and I have been rewatching to for gazillionthstshkhk time with my bf. It's perfect as always Nothing much else, it has been a crazy month :)

October

LATE AGAIN! But it's time for another montly recap post!
In October I - Added new stickers and brooches and necklaces to my shop. Watched lots of crappy movies on Netflix. Felt so very blessed to have such wonderfully amazing people surrounding me. Finished illustrations I had been working on for forever. Did some commissions. Spent lots of time with my bf and bff (slumberpartiesss!). Made a cat quiche. Found a lot of cool mushrooms. Saw the awesome Feathers exhibition in Gallery 33. Celebrated Halloween in the most perfectly boring way. Basically had a lot of fun :)

Movies - So like I said, I watched lots of crappy movies on Netflix this month; Clueless, Never Been Kissed, Teeth, Revenge of the Bridesmaids, The Last Exorcism, The Midnight Meat Train... I wouldn't recommend any of these haha.
Books - Loooooved Cowa! by Akira Toriyama, enjoyed Ice Haven by Daniel Clowes and still haven't finished 11/22/63 by Stephen King (but it's great so far).
Music - I have been listening to WOLF by Tyler, The Creator non stop this month (but have to say I'm kinda sick of it already haha).
TV Shows - Speaking of Netflix; ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK! God that show is perfect! Also (re)watched a lot of Misfits, but boyyy are those last few seasons awful.

April/May Films

Legend (1985): Sparkles, lens flares and bubbles. Tim Curry. Unicorns. Fairies. Goblins. NEED I SAY MORE?! This used to be one of my favorite movies when I was around 10 and in my fantasy fase, I still can't believe it didn't scare the bejeezus out of me. It is pret-ty scary, but awesome! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

The Spiderwick Chronicles (2008): Fine, nothing too special! ♥ ♥ ♥

Willow (1988): An amaaaazing George Lucas film! Another one of my go-to movies from my fantasy fase, and it's still as good as it was back then! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

The Witches of Eastwick (1987): Awesome. So so good. Makes me realllyyy love Cher. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

The Game (1997): This actually was one of my first dvds ever, like, back when the thing just came out. So I must have seen this a 10000 times haha. It's not thát great (I kinda hate Michael Douglas and it's not really my genre) but it's pretty good! Still! ♥ ♥ ♥

Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls (1995): Euh funniest movie ever? Yes/yes? Hahah still cracks me up every time. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994): Fine, funny, but When Nature Calls is so much finer and funnier. ♥ ♥ ♥

The Breakfast Club (1985): Such a great movie, it totally speaks to my inner high school girl. And that OST! Yesss! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

The Goonies (1985): You've seen The Goonies right? Come on. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Batman (1989): Batman Returns is my favorite of all time but this is a nice solid second. Pretty amazing. And Prince is a God*~ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Wrong Turn (2003): I... I kinda hate Wrong Turn. I always think I like it but when I'm actually watching it, not so much. It's not that bad but it's just mweh. Hoping this was the last time I fell for it. ♥ ♥ ♥

Scream (1996): This on the other hand! I really enjoy watching! May be sort of a guilty pleasure but I shall not care. ♥ ♥ ♥

Scream 2 (1997): Same. ♥ ♥ ♥

I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998): That one time when the sequel of the movie was way better than the first one! Another probable quilty pleasure. ♥ ♥ ♥

Polyester (1981): John Waters is such a weirdo. In a good way! Watched this as research for this project I'm working on and it's pretty amazing. And wacky as heelll. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Death Becomes Her (1992): Hahaha so perfect. A classic for a reason! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999): I decided to rewatch the newer Star Wars movies since I hadn't seen them in ages. I kinda like this one, I like Jar Jar and Padme and the podracing and Anakin is such a cutiepie. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002): This though... I totally forgot about the whole super annoying love story. Oh boy. These people!!! I always feel like the newer-star-wars-hate among Star Wars fans is so pathetic and uncool. But. I guess I'm finally old enough to see that this just isn't that great of a movie. I still like it for the cool aliens and stuff and for obvious sentimental reasons. But. Mweh. Okay. ♥ ♥ ♥

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005): Alright. Idk. I'm so confused!!! ♥ ♥ ♥??!?!?! IDK!

The Gift (2000): Only recently found out that this was by Sam Raimi (Evil Dead)! I've seen this so many times and I always liked it but now that I know it's by him I see it in a totally different light and may even like it more. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Interview with the Vampire (1994): Hadn't seen this in quite a while but it was just as perfect as I remembered it to be. Such a nice eerie vibe! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

The Dark Crystal (1982): So so so amazing. Must be one of my favorite movies of all time. And that OST! It's just so perfect in every way. Yesss! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Alien (1979): SO PERFECT!!! You know, you've seen it. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Wild Wild West (1999): Such such suuuuch a terrible movie with the dumbest puns and it's actually quite sexist and just... WRONG but I like Will Smith (a lot) and I like the song tooo. So euh, sorry... ♥ ♥ ♥

I wouldn't recommend;
The Odd Life of Timothy Green, Ice Age: The Meltdown, Thirteen Ghosts.
All of these aren't TERRIBLE, but not worth the watch either.
