Well, I decided to officially quit my day job. I'm currently working my very last week as a Lush sales assistent which is super weird because I really really love Lush and all of the people working there but lately my own business has been growing and working at Lush is, as awesome and fun as it is, extremely emotionally draining for me. I'm so tired of working all the time, switching mindset between PONY PEOPLE and Lush, working evenings and weekends. And apart from that Jaap and I are planning to leave Haarlem soon so working at Lush just seems, illogical? I don't mean to ramble but my point is, I'm going to do this small business thing full on from now on! It's so scary but also super exciting and I'm so thankful for all of the support I've been getting, I can't believe I even have the opportunity to do this full time. SO COOL!

The pics above are from this business meeting Mim and I had in Artis, like we used to when PONY PEOPLE was just starting. The whole park was in bloom, flowers everywhere and there was this gorgeous pink tree and I don't know, it felt extremely magical talking about plans and hopes and ideas and like a turning point in this little business really. I can not wait to see what happens!

First day of the new year and I'm still editing pictures from summer 2014. I know it's crazy but last year flew by before I knew it. All I did was work and work some more and sleep on my days off. Juggling two jobs I love has been awesome (AWESOME) but extremely tiresome and I have been neglecting basically eh, everything else.
But hey! Here are some pictures of last year's(!) summer at my parent's, which is absolutely wonderful every year. Here's to hoping I get to visit more this time around! Have a great 2015 cuties!

Yay! Autumn! It's here and I'm loving every second of it! Knitwear, blankets, candles, pumpkins, and most importantly, MUSHROOMS! Obviously my favorite thing about fall, since I usually spend these months on my knees photographing those little boogers, and this year will be no exception. I found all of the mushrooms pictured above at the Amersfoort Zoo's Dino Woods which Jaap and I visited a few weeks back. There were ZERO dinosaur pictures taken. Just sayin'.

Also; Happy Halloween everyone! Jaap and I are about to get ready for the laziest Halloween celebration ever, just us and our besties on the sofa watching The Craft and snackin' on homegrown pumpkin soup. Hope you'll have as spooky a time as I'm sure we'll have! Hehe.

Some more snaps from that time Mirjam and I visited the lovely Boerhaave Museum for the anatomical models exhibition. All of the above are from their permanent collection though, which is also really really good. Would absolutely recommend if you're into old books and taxidermy!

Wool and Blossom

When I was visiting my mom the other week (same day thís happened) I found that one of our yellow plum trees was blown over in the big storm of last month. The crazy thing was though, it seemed that in sort of a last twitch of life it bloomed with blossom more than ever. I've never seen anything like it, it was like an huge explosion of white flowers. Amazing right? These pictures don't even fully capture it. Still I'm glad I took so many because when I visited again the other day it was almost completely gone. I wonder if it'll still grow little plums? I'd miss picking fresh breakfast in the morning.
