Thrifty Finds

I have known for quite some time that there is a thriftshop very nearby my house but I never went there, probably because I didn't think it would be any good or maybe I was just afraid of the dissapointment. But. I finally took the plunge yesterday and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be very happy or very very sad because; It was the best thriftshop I have EVER been to in my ENTIRE life. I'm not even kidding. It beats the Ijhallen or the Noordermarkt and even the thriftstore I used to go once a week. I am going to be forever broke and my hoarding will get worse. I'm not going to be able to live in my house because it is going to be FILLED TO THE ROOF. I was able to somewhat restrain myself but still bought a lot. The things in this shop weren't all purchased at this particular thriftshop but most of it was and I didn't even picture all of it. Ai caramba.

So very excited about this! I have wanted a microscope since forever! And it comes with slides and even some tiny pieces of a feather and a honey bee wing! Can't wait to figure this thing out and see my own blood up close and stuff.

Pretty tins! I love pretty tins! I have a cat-tin collection I use for my sewing stuff and the other ones are for my art supplies.

Ray Conniff and his orchestra, Talk Talk and Supertramp records (still need a recordplayer though).

Colored pantyhose for 25 cents a piece! Can you believe it? The colors are amazing and they are very sturdy and pretty!

20 old cat postcards. I regret NOTHING.

Kitten needlepoint and some crazy ugly cat mirror-thing.

I love this dude so much! It's a tiny weasel and he is very dusty and dirty but I love him to death! Pun intended.

This is the prettiest needlepoint pattern I have ever seen! I can't decide if i'll finish it or frame it as it is. It's just so cute how this old lady did only a tiny part of it and then stopped because she was tired of it (or just died).

Naww! Isn't she the cutest?!

Granny glasses are the best! I love the sunglasses and can't wait to get my prescription in those other glasses!

Tiny little animal figurines for my typecase!

And the woman behind the counter got me this for free

I also bought 3 dvd's (Se7en, Poltergeist, Alice), a Clive Barker book, a crochet cardigan, two pretty plastic baskets to keep my paint in, floral and heart towels, pink lace trim, a few yards of floral fabric, a sewing pattern for high waisted pants and I may have sold my soul to the devil.

This thriftstore is opened for only a few days a week (thank god) because they also clean out dead people's appartments, which is where they get most of the stuff. Old people really have the best junk. I will take my camera with me next time because there were so many things I didn't buy which were amazing but pricy or I just didn't know what to do with it. Steentje IU!
