A couple of days ago we went to see Alamo Race Track in Patronaat (Haarlem). We normally don't really go to concerts, but we saw them at Into the Great Wide Open last year and enjoyed their music so much that we decided to go to their concert. There were two acts before they started, one was from a bandmember of Alamo Race Track and the other act was Intergalactic Lovers, a band that I don't know but that is presumably getting more popular. I enjoyed their music, but I'm personally not a big fan of acts before the main act, because by the time the main act starts I'm already so tired haha! (I'm kind of an old lady when it comes to staying up late - Anne and I always have some trouble staying up at NYE as well).
But Alamo Race Track was really really good, so in the end it was all worth staying up for! I like their music live more than on tape, because they have a much more folky and at times almost psychedelic vibe on stage, which I really enjoy. They also had some amazing instruments (especially the percussionist) and the singer just has such a nice and interesting voice. It was an amazing night out! Maybe we should do it more often?
